Collaborative Project between Alexander Marketing Services and The Dow Chemical Company Wins National, Regional PRSA Awards

GRAND RAPIDS, MI - Alexander Marketing Services, working in conjunction with The Dow Chemical Company, recently won a Bronze Anvil Award of Commendation from the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) for Neighbors: The Community Magazine of Dow Texas Operations. PRSA’s Bronze Anvil Awards recognize outstanding achievement in public relations at a national level. 

“Neighbors was started in 2004 because we wanted to have a dialogue with our community about what goes on at the site and challenges we face that might impact them,” said David Winder, external communications manager for Dow Texas Operations. “From the feedback we’ve gotten from our neighbors in the community, they’re enjoying the magazine and appreciating our efforts to make it a community publication. Winning awards is just icing on the cake for what we already considered an excellent inaugural year of Neighbors.”

In addition to the national award, Neighbors also won a Silver Excalibur Award in the External Newsletter category from PRSA’s Houston Division.

“Producing an award-winning project like Neighbors is a testament to our team’s capabilities,” said Bob Milroy, President of Alexander Marketing Services. “Besides helping clients with their marketing communications, they now entrust us with employee and community relations programs as well,” he added.
