The
Four Never-Break Rules of Setting Communications Objectives:
Rule
1:
The
objective must be achievable, in its entirety or for the most part,
through communications.
Rule
2:
It
must be specific as to what is to be accomplished and when.
Rule
3:
It
must be measurable through objective means so you can tell when and
if you have achieved it.
Rule
4:
It
must be realistic. Granted, this is the hard part. But if you are
actually completing the measurement called for in Rule 3, at least
you'll be in a position to reference historical performance.
